Non-blank lines in the files the scanner analyses: code in the languages we parse, infrastructure as code and MCP configs, summed over the latest scan of each repository.
Generated or vendored code can be excluded with a .basaltignore file. Counting lines instead of repositories means a monorepo and twenty small repositories are priced the same way.

The scan stops and explains which limit it reached. Nothing is deleted: earlier scans, findings and reports stay where they are.
